Yoga is so much more than what we see on the mat. It stretches far beyond the asanas (posture) and how things should look. Yoga is a feeling, it is a connection with oneself. Yoga quite literally means “to become one with”… one with self, one with breath, one with the universe. This feeling, this pratise that so many incorporate into their daily lives or dedicate their life to teaches us better than any self help book could, at how to be a better human. To show up for ourselves, to have patience and compassion for ourselves and others. This discipline helps us not only feel better in our bodies, but create this equilibrium between our bodies and minds and spirit, it allows us to tune in and answer “what do I need today?”
